There is no wrong answer here debugging does provide help for other users encountering similar issues I just don't have patience to debug so I personally would rather just reinstall my OS to ensure the issue is fixed if one arrises. Some have luck debugging issues while others do not the choice is ultimately yours but I personally like to ensure fast and reliable results by reinstalling OS X while others choose to debug. If your OS is corrupt try a different machine (if possible) or reinstall your OS if you do not wish to spend hours debugging the issue.

If you are still running into problems ensure your aTV is running iOS 5 or higher and your mac OS partition is not corrupt. It should take seconds to load the cert on your aTV. The Cert URL is the easiest way (without http prefix) to load the cert onto your aTV.
